Gaffy & Neal 2021 Merricks North Chardonnay $70

Established in 1995 by Darrin Gaffy, Principia (pronounced Prin-kip-ia) is located South-East of Melbourne in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The 8.5 acre vineyard consists of 6.5 acres of Pinot noir and 2 acres of Chardonnay.

2021 Gaffy & Neal Merricks North Chardonnay

Green -gold in hue; white peach and nectarine, ruby grapefruit augmented by cashew nuts and tangelo peel zest with a touch of flint. The palate is a mirror wrapped in a creamy textural blanket with a long finish assisited by a fine skeleton of racy acidity. It is tightly coiled with significant latent power that will emerge in time. A deep and powerful wine that will age for decades.
