Bream Creek Vineyard 2022 Reserve Chardonnay

This is a complex and powerful wine, befitting of its Reserve status. It is selected from a rigorous barrel selection process, and less than 15% of our total Chardonnay production is considered to be of such quality as to qualify.

Tasting Notes: This limited release Chardonnay exhibits a complex nose of white peach, nectarine skin and white flowers. The palate is intense and textured, spiced stone and citrus fruit flavours supported by French oak and pristine grapefruit acidity. A wine of class, depth and persistence, it is enjoyable now, yet may also be confidently cellared.
Food Pairing: This powerful wine is a worthy match for strongly flavoured foods, such as Lobster (Crayfish) Thermidor and Roast Marion Bay chicken with Tasmanian truffles

2019 Bream Creek ‘Old Vine’ Reserve Riesling
Tasting Note
The 2019 wine grape vintage in Tasmania was extremely compacted, with a very early finish for us. The vintage produced excellent quality with balanced fruit and acid, although yields were significantly down for certain varieties as a result of the very dry conditions.
We are the proud custodians of one of the oldest commercial Riesling blocks in Tasmania, planted in 1974. In special vintages we make a Reserve Riesling solely from grapes produced from these old vines. It is a powerful wine, with a fragrant nose of citrus pith and salinity flowing onto a rich palate of lemon, lime and grapefruit. This wine is simply delicious now and can be cellared with absolute confidence.

Reviews
Vinous. Long. Powerful and yet so delicate, akin to a penumbra of yellow: grapefruit, quince and lemon. A smoky whiff and salinity, too. The fleck of residual sugar sublimated by the greater whole to the point of palpable dryness. Real thrust and parry between fruit and structure here. Very fine.

Lime leaf, nettle and green herb aromas. The wine is high-acid and quite austere. A bracing, sit-up-straight wine. Tight, refined and tense, it has a long career ahead of it. But it needs time.” 93 points Huon Hooke (The Real Review) 14 January 2020

2021 Bream Creek Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir
Tasting Note
This is a powerful and complex wine, reflective of its Reserve status. Upon opening the nose is aromatic, with lifted dark cherry, plum and spice aromas. The rich palate features intense dark cherry and berry flavours, matched by fine tannins and bright acidity and finishing with superb length and intensity.

Reviews
Impressively deep red-purple colour, bright and clear, the bouquet big on dark-cherry to blackberry, bold fruit and not overtly whole-bunchy, while the palate is full and rich and succulent, loaded with lovely ripe cherry/berry fruit and superfine tannins in superb harmony. Long finish; truly satisfying.
An outstanding pinot noir with a bright future

Rich dark cherry fruit features on a powerful nose, and carries through to a long, generous palate
built around fine, persistent tannins. Although it satisfies now, this wine will age well

Wine Wise Small Vigneron Awards

Deep cherry colour, with complex aromas of blackberry and plum, with an almost velvety character to the nose. It had a hint of vanilla oak spice, perfectly integrated with the fruit elements and just a touch of sous bois. In the mouth it was deep and complex, with a bright acidity, elegant tannins,
beautiful integration and long and complex finish.

gorgeous potpourri plus cherry vanilla baked pie aromatics, with red and dark berries, complex forest floor savouriness and a Chinese five spice lift with lovely length. Gorgeous…Energetic and balanced, this wine exudes class. Selector Magazine (May/June 2023)
Brooding black cherries and wild strawberries. The generous palate has an intense sweet fruit and vanilla character alongside a long savoury finish. Supple tannins, well structured, and hugely
enjoyable
